■ ゲームは英語版です ■ The Escapistsは、受賞歴のある脱獄シミュレーションゲームだ。このゲームでは、プレイヤーが気軽に刑務所での生活を体験することができる。ゲームの目的は単純に脱出することだが、計画内容は細部にわたる。（刑務所で「計画」と口にするときは小声の方がいいだろう）開放型刑務所には入れないかもしれないが、点呼や食事、刑務作業の合間は脱獄を計画するとびっきりのチャンスだ。他の受刑者の頼みを聞いて金を稼ぎ、刑務所生活での自らの評価を高めるか？トレーニングで体力強化を図るか？読書でスキルを高めたり、手製の武器や道具を作るのもいいだろう。あるいは勤勉に刑務所作業に取り組み、新しい仕事でより高い賃金を狙うという手もある。目立たず慎重に行くか、銃弾飛び交う中を逃げ切るか。どちらにせよ、最後に脱獄できれば勝ちだ。
